2084 Heretic
George Orwell's novel, 1984, is a powerful piece of literature that explores themes of totalitarianism, government control, and the suppression of individuality. Just as music has the ability to convey emotions and messages, Orwell's writing uses vivid imagery and thought-provoking language to depict a dystopian society ruled by Big Brother. The story leads to reflection, as we analyze the impact of oppressive regimes and the importance of preserving freedom and individual thought. Through its timeless relevance, 1984 serves as a cautionary tale, reminding us of the dangers of unchecked power and the value of intellectual freedom.
2084 is the updated vision of this same dystopian future. Taking the same themes and concept and projecting it to be still what lies ahead. The album is intended to flow together in a cinematic way, and the songs are intentionally more direct and heavier.
Control of information, thought crime, doublethink, newspeak, fear as a control, division, two minutes of hate, divide and control, propaganda, groupthink, servant mentality, heresy, and the idea of believing that we will see 5 lights when there are in reality only 4.
